Dr. Biniam Teshome is a public health specialist and health system researcher with extensive experience in quality improvement, guideline development, and implementation research across Southern and East Africa.
Dr. Teshome led Malawi’s First Nationally Representative People’s Voice Survey (PVS), generating critical insights into how Malawians perceive the quality, accessibility, and responsiveness of the health system.
His work spans Quality Improvement, Guideline Development, and implementation research, with a strong focus on strengthening patient-centred care.
He has contributed to major national initiatives, including the development of Quality Standards, QI curricula, and Outbreak Response Guidelines, and continues to support Evidence-Based Policymaking and Sustainable Health System Strengthening.
