Dr. Keiko Nanishi, MD, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Medicine at the The University of Tokyo and a Visiting Researcher at the National Institute for Environmental Studies in Japan. Her research focuses on global health and maternal and child health, with particular expertise in breastfeeding, infant and young child feeding, maternal and child nutrition, and the commercial determinants of health. Her work examines how social, policy, and health system factors influence maternal and child health outcomes.
Dr. Nanishi has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals such as BMJ Global Health, PLOS ONE, and Scientific Reports. She serves as Associate Editor of the International Breastfeeding Journal and is a member of the editorial board of Scientific Reports. Her work has received recognition from the Japanese Society for Breastfeeding Research, where she has received Best Presentation Awards for her contributions to breastfeeding research and maternal and child health.
