QuEST at the 78th World Health Assembly!

Listening to people to improve health systems: Post-COVID trends in public attitudes on healthcare

Geneva, Switzerland

Held as an official side event during the 78th World Health Assembly, this panel highlighted how people’s experiences and expectations can shape more responsive and equitable health systems.

Opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Sandro Galea, Dean of the Washington University School of Public Health. Dr. Margaret Kruk, Director of QuEST Network, moderated the session. Dr. Todd Lewis, QuEST Research Lead, presented key findings from the People’s Voice Survey.

The discussion brought together global health leaders:

- Dr. Sailesh Mohan, Public Health Foundation of India and QuEST

- Dr. Emelda Okiro, Kenya Medical Research Institute-Wellcome Trust

- Dr. Rosanna Tarricone, Bocconi University, Italy

- Dr. Dorairaj Prabhakaran, Public Health Foundation of India and QuEST India Principal Investigator.

- Dr. Muluken Argaw, Ministry of Health, Ethiopia

Closing remarks were offered by Dr. Kumanan Rasanathan, Executive Director of the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research at WHO.
