Our Team

Derebe Tadesse Abate is a public health professional with extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation, health system strengthening, and program management, particularly in Ethiopia. He holds a BSc in Public Health from Dilla University and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Gondar University. He also earned a Health Systems Management diploma from the Galilee International Management Institute in Israel. 

Derebe has held significant roles in various organizations. Currently, he serves as the Monitoring and Evaluation Director at Amref Health Africa in Ethiopia, focusing on primary health care and strengthening the health system. 

Derebe is skilled in program evaluation, data analysis, capacity building, epidemiology, and qualitative research, with expertise in tools such as SPSS, Stata, and KoboToolbox. His work has contributed to projects addressing reproductive, maternal, and child health and family planning.
